Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue typically focuses on specific areas. It can be offered in combination with other styles of massage to create a whole body treatment. Unlike Swedish, communication is key to keep a comfortable level of pressure. I work with your breathing to get the best possible release from the tissues. You may feel rejuvenated, or a bit sore, depending on the particular therapy session. Soreness can be experienced after a deep tissue massage is a completely normal reaction and should subside within 24 to 48 hours. Some of the benefits of deep tissue are release of tension and stiffness, pain relief, and improved mobility.
Swedish Massage
Relaxing & therapeutic style of bodywork. I use oils or lotions with a number of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and can include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, and greater flexibility.
